Ferns café & restaurant can be found in the Butter market in the historic city of Canterbury, opposite Christchurch Gate, the grand entrance of Canterbury Cathedral, whilst overlooking this scene you can treat yourself to The Ferns Morning Menu of home baked scones, toasted tea cakes, bacon & cheddar melts, espresso coffee & a wide selection of teas. Later you can feast from a lunch menu you won’t forget, Ferns offer a good choice of lunches including homemade soup of the day such as sweet roast potato and garlic, it has built up a reputation for its daily baked flans, the Canterbury Steak lunches take a bit of beating, particularly when accompanied by a glass of our house red (the café hold an alcohol license), and with its daily specials & old favourites, such as local sausages served with mash & onion gravy, the good old taste of England, along with pastries being another one of Ferns treats the homemade apple, cherry and even strawberry fruit pie, made with our own pastry recipe or traditional bake well tart, gypsy tart, cakes, scones & gateau, to tempt you all.
